Villa Amelia consists of the main, 3-story villa and a separate dependànce situated poolside. The property is accessible through a private, remote controlled gate, allowing access only to those residing in the private properties found along the same road Villa Lagno is set in an area planted with olive trees, flowers, and agaves. Thanks to its position facing the sea, it offers wonderful views onto the island of Capri and the nearby coastline. The villa was built during the 50’s by a famous Neapolitan architect (Michele Capobianco) in an essential, yet modern style. The characteristics of Villa Lagno lie in its many original works of art and sculptures, which the owners have carefully collected from very appreciated Italian and international artists (Picarelli, Warhol, Perez, Lello Esposito, Alfano), giving an art gallery-like atmosphere to the entire property. The three bedrooms in the main villa has all air condition. Ground floor: 3 steps from the garden lead into a large living room with white washed walls and blue ceramic tile floors, furnished perfectly to fit the property’s style; leather sofas, a glass topped table, wooden table, 4 leather chairs, fireplace, and large plasma TV. The fully equipped kitchen is stylish and modern and enjoys iron working plates and a freezer, refrigerator with icemaker, 7-range stovetop, dishwasher, oven and microwave. The dining area, with a glass topped table and 6 chairs, enjoys a panoramic window looking out onto the garden, planted with olive trees and equipped with a barbeque, creating an area ideal for outside dining (with dining table and 4 chairs). Bedroom and shower room for the maid. First floor: A flight of 20 steps lead from the living room to a corridor-sitting area with a sofa and leather chaise lounge. Double bedroom with an iron baldachin double bed, bedside tables, chairs and large built-in wardrobe. 2 French windows look out from the bedroom onto the garden. Spacious en-suite marble bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, large mirror, sink, and towel rack. A second bedroom displays twinbeds, a small glass table, and a mirror. En-suite bathroom, with shower box, large mirror, sink, and towel rack. The bedroom accesses a small covered terrace through a set of French doors. A side door leads out onto a paved terrace, wherefrom a staircase leads you down to a sitting area in the garden, with wooden chaise lounge chairs, immersed in olive trees. A winding staircase leads from the second floor up to the third. Topfloor: Double room with 2 futon sofas (each can be converted into double beds), small tables, writing desk with chair. The room enjoys a large, panoramic window facing the island of Capri. Small en-suite bathroom with wall shower, sink, and mirror. A door leads out onto a nice double, unfurnished terrace offering incredible sea views onto the island of Capri and the Bay of Naples. The terrace also enjoys an outdoor shower. Dependànce: Accessed up 5 steps from main road, this lovely, natural stone cottage dependànce lies next to the irregular shaped swimming pool with hydro massage system (4 meters x 6 meters) and small garden, directly facing the Mediterranean sea. The charming interior has been built around a large natural rock, which continues externally and becomes incorporated into the pool. Double bed, open kitchenette with table and 2 chairs, dining table and 2 chairs, and comfortable amenities, including a small refrigerator, 2-range stovetop, and microwave oven. The terrace enjoys a round wooden table and chairs for outdoor dining by the pool. The dependànce enjoys its own, en-suite bathroom Access: The villa is accessed 5 – 45 steps up a charming footpath leading from the private access road through the garden.
